Get Your Two-Wheeled Fun on with the Motorcycle Live Motor Fair

There are plenty of UK motor fairs dedicated to four-wheel vehicles – from classic cars to supercars to rally cars to specific makes and models like the VW Bug. However, there are relatively few dedicated to two-wheel vehicles. That’s one of the things that sets Motorcycle Live apart from other motor fairs. It’s dedicated solely to motorcycles and scooters. What might you expect to enjoy at this annual festival, though?

When and Where

First, if you’re planning to attend this particular motor fair, you’ll need to be in Birmingham in November. The 2018 event takes place from the 17th through the 25th and will be held at The NEC. Note that anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and advance tickets are currently available. Tickets will also be available at the door, but the price will be marked up.

The Event

The motor fair is split into several different areas. You’ll find four halls filled with motorcycles, gear makers, and more. The live action arena is another area worth checking out – here, you’ll be able to see professional riders putting some of the most powerful bikes to the test.

Want to get on a bike yourself? There are plenty of opportunities to do just that, and you can ride without any additional cost. Bike riding experiences can be found in 10 different areas, and you’ll get to participate in things like the ACU Try Trials, Yamaha’s Dark Side MT Tour, and the Harley Davidson Jumpstart. There are even opportunities for youth riders, and a Strider Adventure Zone for little ones with a taste for two-wheel riding.

One of the big draws of Motorcycle Live is the presence of industry-leading motorcycle manufacturers. For 2018, there will be 40 different marques on hand, demonstrating their newest designs and technology, answering questions, and displaying their wares. Whether you’re a fan of touring bikes, prefer road racers, want to know more about adventure riding, or something else, you’ll find it here.

Black Horse Stage is where you will find a lot of the action. This includes the Road Test Cinema, as well as the Race and Ace display, where you can race against top drivers in a simulated environment. There are also trivia sessions where the right answer can win you prizes.

For attendees more interested in getting up close and personal with motorcycles, there are three features spread between halls two, three and four. Hall two will host the Isle of Man TT feature, where you can see actual racing bikes. Hall three will host the Custom Xtreme feature, where you’ll find some of the wildest custom bikes in the world. Finally, hall four will host the Classic feature, where you can explore some of the most iconic motorcycles ever to have raced the roads and tracks of the UK and Europe.

While the 2018 show might still be a short time away, tickets do sell out fast. Book now to enjoy this two-wheel only motor fair.
