Making Plans to Attend the 2018 Mini Fair in Staffordshire
Love Minis? You’re hardly alone. Thousands of other enthusiasts throughout the UK and even around the world share that passion, and the Mini Fair held annually is a great chance to connect with those people. It’s also a great time to explore the world of Minis, as well as getting first crack at some unique sales and special deals. What should you know about attending the 2018 Mini Fair?
What’s the Mini Fair All About?
Well, the name really sums up this event quite well. It’s a one-day event held in Bingley Hall at the Staffordshire County Showground. This massive venue houses hundreds of Minis on show, where you can get up close and personal, as well as many of them for sale or swap. Note that all cars for sale will be located outside the main entrance to the event, not in the main hall or the two secondary halls. What else might you enjoy at the event?
If you’re not yet a member of the BMC, you can sign up during the Mini Fair. This is one of the largest Mini clubs in the UK, and is quite active(they sponsor the Mini Fair itself).
Swap and Buy
In addition to Minis for sale, you’ll find a massive auto jumble here, with hundreds of stands offering everything from auto parts to racing memorabilia and more. If there’s a part you’ve been seeking for your Mini, chances are excellent that you’ll find it right here.
The 2018 showcase theme is “Pride of Joy”, and you’ll find that the Pride of Ownership exhibit covers 50 years of history, giving you an excellent look at all things Mini during the past five decades.
The Italian Job children’s charity will be on hand raising money through a charity auction to support kids.
In addition to the auto jumble, you’ll find a host of additional exhibitors and vendors in attendance, including Mini Sport LTD, Footman James Insurance, Mini James, AutoGlym, Mini Word Magazine,Huddersfield Spares, and more.
Get your chance to win a new Mini. Buy a single ticket and you’ll be entered in the raffle. The winner will be announced after the event.
The Special Display Area
Each year, the Mini Fair has a special display area centrepiece. This year’s is a van and pick-up theme, and you’ll find a lot to enjoy with these vehicles.
When and Where?
The Mini Fair will be held on the 28th of January, in Bingley Hall at the Staffordshire County Showground. The gates will open promptly at 9:30 AM.Note that tickets can be purchased ahead of time, or at the gate. If purchased in advance, you will receive a discount (£10, rather than £12).
The event will go on rain or shine, and is held mostly indoors, so inclement weather will not adversely affect your enjoyment. Note that outside parking is available, and that the M6 is conveniently located nearby.
