At Lifestyle Insurance Brokers, we believe being part of the community means more than just doing business within it. It means taking responsibility, supporting local initiatives, and finding practical ways to make a difference where it matters most. Recently, we’ve been proud to support two brilliant local causes that do exactly that.
Tameside Community Computers
Over the past few years, like many businesses, we’ve accumulated a fair amount of older technology. While much of it was no longer suitable for day-to-day use in the office, it still had the potential to be useful elsewhere. Rather than letting it sit unused or be disposed of without purpose, we partnered with Tameside Community Computers, a local organisation doing genuinely valuable work.
In total, we donated 40 computers, six printers, and assorted old tech, all of which will now be assessed by their team. Where possible, machines will be refurbished and distributed to schools and community groups who need access to technology but may not have the budget for it. For items that are beyond repair, responsible recycling ensures materials are reused properly rather than ending up in a landfill.
It’s a simple idea, but one that creates real impact in supporting education, reducing waste, and helping close the digital divide locally.
Denton Youth Under 8’s Football Team
Community support doesn’t stop at technology. For the second year running, we’re also delighted to continue our sponsorship of Denton Youth Under 8’s football team. Grassroots sports rely heavily on local backing, and this sponsorship has allowed the team to purchase a much-needed new kit. For young players, having proper equipment isn’t just about appearance — it builds confidence, pride, and a sense of belonging as part of a team.
Youth sports play a significant role in developing teamwork, discipline, and confidence at an early age, and we’re proud to support a club that provides children with the opportunity to learn these skills in a positive and inclusive environment.
